Here is a summary of the steps to work in Ontario :
– Open a file with the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)
– Opening a file at the Ministry of Government Services (MGS)
– Opening a file at the Ministère du Revenu en Ontario
If you are an electrician, pipe fitter, work on heavy equipment or handle gasoline, other steps may be necessary.
In addition, residential contractors must register with Tarion Warranty Corporation.
