Tentative agreement in the construction industry

Sectoral agreement between the Alliance syndicale de la construction and the ACQ in the institutional-commercial and industrial sectors, representing over 60% of the industry.

The Alliance syndicale de la construction - which brings together the industry's five unions - is proud to announce that a sectoral agreement with the Association de la construction du Québec (ACQ) was reached today in the institutional-commercial and industrial (IC-I) sectors. This agreement represents an important step in the renewal of collective agreements, and remains conditional on the conclusion of negotiations for specific clauses, as well as the ratification process by construction industry workers.

Established for a period of four years, from 2025 to 2029, such an agreement will promote industrial peace and provide workers with greater financial stability, avoiding any loss of wages. "We are confident of reaching a final agreement before the end of the collective agreements, which would be a milestone in the history of our industry. Our members have told us of their concerns about the rising cost of living, and our teams have worked hard since the notice to bargain was filed to obtain wage increases and conditions that meet their expectations," says Éric Boisjoly, spokesman for the Alliance syndicale.
